January Defence introduces the Breathe crew. This Helsinki-based Drum & Bass trio's been arranging club nights for a good while now and at mbar the crew will showcase the sounds and styles they're about. Good vibes and big bass guaranteed.

Drum & Bass three-piece was first founded when members Anne Karoliina and Jesse Mach met while competing against each for a slot in a local Drum & Bass event in Helsinki. Since then Breathe has left it's mark to the finnish Drum & Bass scene. In a year they've had over 50 gigs, organized two own clubs (Breathe & Ingredients) and played actively in different events all around Finland. These days the core of Breathe is Jesse Mach, Anne Karoliina and Snapo. The collective plays mostly Drum & Bass ranging from dark Techstep, energetic Neurofunk and classic Liquid.

In Mbar Defence introduces the best flavours of Drum & Bass through the whole spectrum. Deep soundscapes, fresh ideas, innovative basslines, groovy vibes and rolling beats are some of the concepts ever present in the Defence selection. As well as spinning the latest beats, Defence nods to all the old classics and mint releases of yesteryears, ensuring a versatile and an enjoyable ride in the world of Drum & Bass.
