The nu-disco flavored February episode of Hand Claps & Finger Snaps is as groovy one. The hosts are joined by a special guest, dj Aki A, who plays a hypnotic set of fresh disco beats.

A night of unknown gems, never before heard tunes, dustiest classics and everything in-between is guaranteed. The residents T-Juna, Ouray and Positron continue their search for the perfect disco beat and invite you to join them on this on-going quest.


Aki A

Aki A got into djing at a very young age back in 2001. Hailing from the city of Turku, this prodigy soon established himself as a messenger of progressive house, but didn't settle for representing just a single sub-genre. These days Aki A's record cases are filled with music ranging from ambient through nu-disco and house to all the way to techno.

The elegant and timeless music that Aki A plays could be described as hypnotic and beautiful. He describes himself as an old-school dj who doesn't make a lot of noise about himself but rather wants the music to speak for itself. As an entertainer he's an incurable music nerd and a curator who never gets bored of sourcing rare and unknown gems.

During his years as a dj, Aki A has played at raves like Danceteria and Konemetsä in addition to pool parties called Pacifique and Paradise. During the last couple of years you might've seen him playing at the terrace of Bio Rex. Since 2010 Aki A has produced a weekly program Moreyes for the Tampere University radio Moreeni.
