Perinteiseen ja edistykselliseen maailmanmusiikkiin keskittynyt Cross Borders - klubi tarjoaa taas ennenkuulemattomia elämyksiä Kulttuurikeskus Caisassa lauantaina 18. kesäkuuta.
Illan pääesiintyjänä bändi, jonka jäsenet yhdistävät taitonsa varta vasten tätä iltaa varten.

Paikka on todella hieno, siisti ja hyvässä kunnossa. Äänentoisto ja valot ovat huippuluokkaa ja mukana myös VJ tarjoamassa visuaalista viihdykettä. Tila on savuton, joten siellä pystyy hengittämään vapaasti. Alkoholia kyllä tarjoillaan, olutta ja viiniä.

Vishnu Sanju Sahai is an internationally respected Tabla player. He has toured throughout India, UK, Europe, Middle East and USA. He has performed for Her Majesty the Queen as well as for Prince Charles concert at Highgrove. He has performed at the Royal Albert Hall where he participated in the 100th anniversary of the Proms and in 2000 he performed at the Carnegie Hall in New York. Sanju has worked with jazz, Egyptian, Spanish, hip hop, folk and blues music as well as composing various pieces of ensembles. Sanju has played for numerous live recordings including BBC TV, Channel East, Asian Net TV, BBC World Service and All India Radio and also on CD's with Navras, ARC Music and NA Classical India. In addition, he has performed at Glastonbury Festival, Royal Festival Hall, House of Commons, Salt Lake City for the opening of the Olympics, and is also working with Michael Nyman, one of the most celebrated British composers.
Jason Carter performs internationally, mainly as a solo guitarist, but also collaborates with artists from all over the world. He has always maintained strong artistic links with the Middle East and was the co-founder of the `Bahrain International Guitar Festival'. In 2001 Jason received a Music Award from the Crown Prince of Bahrain alongside 4 Arabic Artists, and more recently went to Pakistan to perform for President Musharaff. In 2000 Jason also performed the famous Guitar `Concerto de Aranjuez' (Joaquin Rodrigo) with Orchestras in Finland, Ireland and the UK, and will also perform this work in 2004 with the Novosibirsk Philharmonic Orchestra and the St Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra in Russia. In 2005 Jason will perform with the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra in Hong Kong, a specially commissioned piece for Guitar and Traditional Chinese Instrument-Orchestra.
Robin DeWan has recorded and performed with a wide variety of artists in music ranging from Avant-garde to Pop but mostly he plays a fusion of styles with a penchant for ambient soundscapes. His music has been heard on radio, television, videos and art exhibition soundtracks. Live performances are his forte and you can catch him performing with some of the top musicians in the region. He has also been a member of the fire and music circus troupe Native Noise whose intense shows have captured much attention. Performances throughout Finland , Sweden , Russia and Estonia have established Robin's reputation as an innovative and dynamic didjeridoo player.
