After several weeks of feverish activity worldwide, the voting has closed for the 2002 DJmag Top 100 DJs poll. Tens of thousands of dance music fans from around the world took the time to vote in this year's poll, for which the results are still being counted. And according to the expert DJmag returning officer Gordon Knott, the coveted top position is still too close to call. The only clue he would give is that it's a three horse race.
The results won't be made public until the Top 100 party extravaganza at Fabric on October 31st, and then in the special Top 100 issue of DJmag which hits the shops on November 1st. But the list is sure to make fascinating reading. It's the benchmark by which clubbers, promoters and the DJs themselves judge their popularity every year - and there's sure to be some surprises and upsets.
Who will be the highest new entry, and who'll take the biggest drop? How will your favourite DJ do? Which genre of dance music will experience the biggest boost? And who will take the coveted crown for being voted the best DJ in the world? All will be revealed soon.
