Season Closing 15.11 - Romance jää tauolle!

Romancen pikkujoulut toimivat myös päätösbileinä. Marraskuun 15. päivä juhlitaan järjestyksessään 8. Romanssit, jonka jälkeen lähes kahden vuoden ikään päässyt rakkaustarina jää ansaitulle tauolle.

Tulevaisuus odottaa, mutta varmaa on, että seuraavat treffit vietetään aikaisintaan ensi kesänä. Romance vetää siis henkeä palatakseen luoksenne uniikimpana ja rakastettavampana. Näin Romance palvelee alkuperäisestä ideaansa: Lämminhenkinen tapahtuma, joka elää ihmisistä, Tampereesta ja House-musiikista - olemalla joka kerta ainutlaatuinen.

Kiitokset siis tähän astisesta, mutta vielä kerran ennen kuin hiljennytään. Tällä kertaa rakkaus on rajaton - Tapaamme siis lauantaina 15.11.2008!

Vielä ehtii muuttaa suunnitelmia ;)

Tämän eilisen tiedotteen jälkeen on tullut niin useita yhteydenottoja (pikaviestejä, facebook-viestejä, puhelinsoittoja jne.), että on varmasti hyvä hieman selventää.

Tauolle jäämisessä ei ole mitään sen dramaattisempaa mukana. Päätöstä on jo pitempään pohdittu tämän kahden vuoden taipaleen täyttymisen osalta. Romance halutaan pitää ainutlaatuisena ja esim. siksi sitä ei ole järjestetty kuin 4 kertaa vuodessa. Eli mukana ei ole väsymystä saati kyllästymistä, treffeille vain halutaan antaa aikaa kehittyä ja pysyä sellaisena, joksi ne on tarkoitettu. Syy on siis perjaatteessa tiivistettynä aikasemmassa tiedotteessa.

Eli ei olla "kasvettu erilleen" ;) Mutta nyt kannattaa siis tulla 15.11 ottamaan ilo irti viimeisen kerran... vähään aikaan <3

"Mad Jay" Mellin is one of the most experienced DJs in Finland at the moment. He practically brought House music to Finland after his first visit to Ibiza in year 1986. He was part of the legendary resident dj team in the "Berlin-Botta" (1987-1993) which was the first real club concept in Finland. When Berlin was closed he was asked to help to create new party paradise "Hype Club" in Helsinki. Hype Club (1994-2000) was the first "glamorous" house club in Finland and was known for its colourful clubbers and soulful house sound. Many of the classics of today were herd there first.

At Hype Club Jay met Micko Iho who introduced Jay to the world of computers and the duo soon started envision a club where besides music, lights, decorations and performances, live mixed video footage would be a big part of the evening. After the first event of the legendary "Screen" in the Autumn of 1997, Jay and Micko realized that they had created something totally new.

As the promoter and resident dj of Screen, Jay played alongside such international deejay stars as Nick Warren, Dave Seaman, Carl Cox, John Digweed, Steve Lawler, Deep Dish and Danny Rampling to name but a few. Jay has also played around Finland at all the major clubs and events during the many years of his career.

Jay has also compiled and mixed the first official dj/club compilation released in Finland plus two other Screen CD-compilations.

During the years of playing music starting from hip hop, funk and disco through different styles of house and techno, Jay has developed an unique understanding of music and how to read the crowd. Jay is a DJ who can change his style to suit every place and audience, never failing to bring out the best atmosphere. Nowadays his style is ranging from progressive house to tech house - not forgetting the best classics from the past decades.

Markus S’s passion for music started more than 15 years ago. Back then he listened lot of music - hip hop, disco, dance, pop and rock, but it was housemusic that really captured this little fellow's attention though he might not have known what it was called back then. Playing at youth disco’s and arraging illegal party’s somewhere mid 90’s, he mastered his dj skills and got gig’s to play in different clubs in his home country.

Back then and till present day, his sound has been hard, progressive, deep, funky or what so ever – but always there’s been word “house” included. Beside’s dj:ing, he is also an producer, so don’t be surprised if you might here some of his own tracks and remixes when his playing. So be ready to jack your body, because that’s what housemusic is all about.
